The 2022 China (Guangxi)-ASEAN Youth Hand in Hand Activity kicked off both online and onsite in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on July 4, gathering more than 300 youth representatives from China and ASEAN.
Representatives from China, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam shared their personal stories during the event, which related to pressing issues such as COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control, cultural exchanges, rural vitalization and the Belt and Road construction.
Teachers and students from Guangxi Arts University showcased the cultural and artistic exchange outcomes between Guangxi and ASEAN through singing performances.
Sun Jin, deputy secretary of the Guangxi Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, said that the cultural and learning exchanges between young people is an important way to promote cross-cultural connections between China and ASEAN.
Sun expressed hope that young people will contribute more to the establishment of the China-ASEAN community of shared future.
Six young people from China and ASEAN countries received the title of "Young Teller of Guangxi Stories" as an honor to lead more young people in China and ASEAN countries to promote China-ASEAN friendships.
