In recent years, Hechi's Donglan county has made use of its strong ecological advantages and unique environmental resources to realize the rapid development of its green industry.
The forest area of Donglan county reaches 2.94 million mu (196,000 hectares), and its forest coverage rate reaches 84.31 percent. It is recognized as a national key ecological function area, as well as a national ecological protection and construction demonstration area.

It aims to create eight major agricultural product brands, as well as strives to achieve a primary industry output value that accounts for 30 percent of the county's GDP.
