On July 7, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 97 new cases of confirmed infections (50 imported cases, 16 in Guangdong province, 14 in Fujian province, 5 in Tianjin municipality, 4 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Sichuan province, 2 in Shandong province, 1 in Shanxi province, 1 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Hunan province, 1 in Chongqing municipality and 1 in Yunnan province, including 4 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Sichuan province; 47 indigenous cases, 17 in Shanghai municipality, 17 in Anhui province, 4 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 3 in Fujian province, 3 in Guangdong province, 2 in Jiangsu province and 1 in Shaanxi province, including 3 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases in Anhui province), no deaths, and 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai municipality).

On July 7, 36 patients were released from hospital after being cured (23 imported cases; 13 indigenous cases, 5 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Guangdong province, 2 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Anhui province and 1 in Jiangsu province). 6,539 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases increased by 1.

As of 24:00 on July 7, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 19,637 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 19,280 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 357 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and 1 suspected case.

As of 24:00 on July 7, the National Health Commission had received reports of 226,397 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 220,301 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 870 confirmed cases (2 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case. 4,310,079 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 68,603 were still under medical observation.

On July 7, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 381 new asymptomatic cases (50 imported cases; 331 indigenous cases, 140 in Anhui province, 67 in Jiangsu province, 66 in Shandong province, 28 in Shanghai municipality, 14 in Fujian province, 8 in Shaanxi province, 4 in Guangdong province, 2 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and 2 in Hainan province).

On July 7, 77 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (45 imported cases; 32 indigenous cases, 13 in Anhui province, 6 in Liaoning province, 4 in Shandong province, 3 in Guangdong province, 3 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 2 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Fujian province). 7 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 4 imported cases). As of 24:00 on July 7, 2,403 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 385 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on July 7, 4,336,622 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 340,451 in Hong Kong (9,407 had died and 64,590 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 550 in Macao (2 had died and 88 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 3,995,621 in Taiwan (7,328 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
