Phoenix Mountain in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province has over the past few years grown in popularity as a cycling destination due to its serene environment and pleasant sights.
Such is the popularity of the place that provincial sports authorities are even planning to build a mountain cycling training base in the mountain, according to authorities.
The mountain is also an ideal place to do hiking and camping. Those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city can also choose to spend a few nights at a charming homestay near the mountain.
The cycling lane in the mountain is dubbed "Yangzhou's ancient tea-horse road" as it is located beside a farm where travelers can pick tea leaves and experience farming activities.
The ancient tea-horse road was an important part of the transportation route that spanned more than 4,000 kilometers through Southwest China's Sichuan and Yunnan provinces and Tibet autonomous region.
