The aerospace industry in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, has been developing at an increased pace in recent days.
Construction of the Wuxi Aerospace Industrial Park commenced in the city's Wuxi National Hi-tech District, or Wuxi New District, on June 21.
Covering an area of 4.5 million square meters, the industrial park will focus on space, the aviation industry and the aerospace service industry, including commercial space vehicles, aircraft materials, and aviation logistics.
That same day, Wuxi Hyatech Co Ltd in WND also started building its key aero engine component manufacturing center.
With a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan ($223.53 million), the center is designed to produce 2.1 million compressor blades and 6,500 sets of rotating and structural parts per year.
WND also saw the signing of agreements for 30 projects with a combined investment of 15.7 billion yuan that day. These projects involve parts manufacturing, technological development, logistics, and finance, which will help create a more complete aerospace industrial system with a solid foundation in the district.
