1st Beijing lotus flower festival kicks off

The first Beijing lotus flower festival kicked off on June 28. Running through the end of August, the festival displays Nelumbo nucifera, traditional Chinese lotus flowers, and 200 Beijing’s own lotus varieties, as well as more than 100 aquatic plants such as waterlilies, Victoria, and Bulrush in six parks.
