Nearly 100 brands of alluring automobiles, recreational vehicles and business refitted vehicles were on display on June 22 in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, as the 14th Xi'an Motor Show kicked off – an auto extravaganza that will run to June 26.
The motor show has an indoor and outdoor exhibition area covering more than 60,000 square meters. It is the largest auto show in Northwest China, with the largest number of participating brands and the biggest transaction volumes.
During the show, 20 new automobile launch events will be held – as well as the recently launched star automobile models – to showcase the latest achievements of the industry.
In addition, new energy vehicles can be seen in every pavilion. Other technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G technology, and autonomous driving are also on display.
To top it off, major participating brands have released a series of preferential policies for the show, such as discounts, subsidies and refueling cards.
The organizing committee of the motor show has also launched an automobile purchase lottery event. On-site buyers can win prizes with their purchase orders, deposit receipts and ID cards.
In early June, the Ministry of Finance and the State Taxation Administration jointly issued an announcement to halve the vehicle purchase tax for eligible vehicles. Then, Xi'an issued 100 million yuan ($14.92 million) of vehicle-specific coupons, with a maximum subsidy of 3,000 yuan.
On June 15, the Shaanxi Department of Commerce issued the 2022 Shaanxi Province Automobile Installment Consumption Subsidy Activity Plan. This provides a maximum subsidy of 4,040 yuan for the individual car installments of residents who meet conditions.
The three kinds of government subsidies can now be used at the same time, making it a prime time to buy vehicles at the motor show.
