The X9132/1 China-Europe freight train departed from Nanning International Railway Port on June 22 and will travel 4,662 kilometers to Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, becoming the first China-Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan China-Europe freight to depart from Guangxi.
The train is loaded with 2,418 metric tons of cargo in 94 containers, including sugar, charcoal, and network wires from Guangxi, Guangdong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, as well as cashew nuts and daily necessities from Vietnam.
The train will cross the border at the Alataw Pass Land Port in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and reach Alma-Ata and Pavlodar in Kazakhstan before arriving at its destination in Tashkent.
The train's journey marks the first time that the "fast pass" model has been used in two customs supervision areas – one in Guangxi and one in Xinjiang.
The "fast pass" model was launched by the General Administration of Customs and China Railway, allowing enterprises to complete one-stop customs clearance and inspections upon departure, eliminating the need to go through additional procedures at checkpoints.
Zhang Xia of Guangxi Fantai International Logistics said that the new model saved 20 hours in customs inspection time and one to two days in transportation time.
The China-Europe freight train's advantages – its speed, safety and energy efficiency, has helped products made in Guangxi and ASEAN such as heavy machine, food and electronic components to break into European markets.
As of June 22, Guangxi has opened 12 China-Europe freight trains, offering a safe and efficient international logistics channel for enterprises.
