Guangxi helps Hechi become permanent venue of China silk forum

Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region recently issued a document on supporting Hechi in becoming a green development pilot zone, which mentioned that Guangxi will support Hechi's Yizhou district in becoming the permanent venue of the China silk forum.

Based on its resource advantages, Hechi has made efforts to help the silk industry utilize the entire industrial chain as well as silk industry clusters. With Yizhou serving as the core area, Hechi has been promoting the construction of a silkworm breeding base and a cocoon and silk deep-processing park to create a national "China Silk New Capital." The city's silkworm output scale has ranked first among China's cities for 16 consecutive years, and its cocoon silk processing capacity leads the country.

The development of the cocoon silk industry has attracted attention at home and abroad. At the first China Silk Industry High-Quality Development Conference and Hechi Silk Industry Investment Summit held on Dec 10, 2021, many attendees said that in addition to the domestic market, companies from Italy, the United States, France, India and other places have expressed interest in Hechi's silk products.
