Qidong-based shipyard's production lines run at full speed

It's full steam ahead at one Chinese shipyard. Based in Qidong – a county-level city administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co Ltd, or CIMC SOE, is an international company specializing in building liquefied natural gas or LNG vessels and tanks, among other things. Currently, CIMC SOE's orderbook is valued at some 3 billion yuan ($447.1 million). In the first four months of this year alone, it generated 400 million yuan in sales and delivered three LNG tankers and various LNG tanks that are used on the ships. [Photo/ntfabu.com]
