WND inks deals for 18 IC projects

A total of 18 deals for integrated circuit industry projects were signed to be carried out in the Wuxi National Hi-tech District on June 2.

With investment totaling 20.3 billion yuan ($3.05 billion), the deals include a smart factory project of RF360 Technology Wuxi Co and the second phase of the Wuxi Branch of Shanghai V-Test Semiconductor Technology Co.

The new deals also cover various sectors in the IC industrial chain, including semiconductor equipment, 5G communications modules, discrete devices, power devices, and semiconductor packaging robots. They are expected to strengthen the IC industrial chain in Wuxi and attract more talent and high-quality projects to the city.

In addition, the construction of the Xingang Integrated Circuit Equipment Parts and Materials Industrial Park started that same day.

The industrial park, with an investment of about 1 billion yuan, will focus on the production of IC equipment with supporting facilities such as talent apartments and commercial areas. More specialized and sophisticated small- and medium-sized IC enterprises that produce new and unique products are expected to develop in the park, according to officials.
