Sixteen investment projects were signed on June 6 in the Shishan Business Innovation Zone in Suzhou New District, East China's Jiangsu province.
The projects, which are related to sectors such as digital economy, integrated circuit and semi-conductor, biomedicine and medical devices, are expected to generate a combined output value of 3.256 billion yuan ($488.4 million) annually.
Song Changbao, head of the SND, said that these high-tech projects will provide a significant impetus for the development of the digital economy.
The Shenzhen academy of urban planning and design has also set up a branch in SND. This is the first office established by the academy in Jiangsu province.
The office will provide new perspectives for planning and design in the district and nearby cities, said a local official.
