Guangxi Border Checkpoint Intelligent Modern Logistics Complex and the China-ASEAN (Pingxiang) Cross-border Industrial Service Cloud Platform were put into operation on June 9 in Pingxiang, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
Pingxiang, a county-level city in Chongzuo, shares a 97-kilometer border with Vietnam and is the largest checkpoint city on the border between China and Vietnam. It is the most convenient road transport channel from China to Vietnam and other ASEAN countries.
The project was jointly launched by Guangxi Beitou Port Investment Group and Shenzhen Wenda Technology, which are aiming to become centers for distinctive border e-commerce livestream, supply chain financing and industrial big data.
The project is expected to be able to cultivate more than 500 livestream and financial enterprises, bringing newfound development to regional processing and logistics industries.
Pan Yuanxiong, general manager of Guangxi Beitou Port Investment Group, said that the project will further optimize the logistics environment at the checkpoint, increase service capacity and provide more job opportunities for local residents.
Pingxiang officials noted that more preferential policies will be released to create a better business environment to attract more high-quality enterprises to set up operations in the Chongzuo area of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, promoting the rapid growth and sound development of cross-border industries.
