Chinese carmaker Omoda started presales of its latest compact SUV, Omoda 5, on Wednesday.
First unveiled at the Guangzhou auto show in 2021, the model is available in seven variants, priced from 92,900 yuan to 128,900 yuan,
It features a sporty and progressive design. The model measures 4,400 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width and 1,588 mm in height, with its wheelbase reaching 2,630 mm.
In terms of performance, the 1.6-liter TDGI engine, coupled with the 7-speed DCT, generates a top output of 145 kW and a top torque of 290 Nm. Another powertrain option is the 1.5-liter TCI and the 9-speed CVT transmission.
The Omoda 5 SUV is expected to rival Changan CS35 Plus and Geely's Binyue.
