The 2022 Qingdao Global Venture Capital Conference is scheduled to be held from June 10 to 11 in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province.

Guided by the Asset Management Association of China, the conference will be sponsored by the Qingdao Municipal People's Government.

The conference, consisting of a main forum, six themed sub-forums and two roadshows, will gather more than 100 distinguished experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, as well as representatives of financial institutions to discuss the opportunities and development trends of capital.

Focusing on making good use of venture capital, accelerating the transformation of old growth drivers with high-quality capital, the event will highlight the coupling and symbiosis of ESG and green transformation, and deeply discuss the boundary and responsibility of capital in the process of enabling technological innovation and accelerating industrial development.

It will help to explore China's innovation capital development path, and build a blueprint for industrial innovation investment.

According to the organizers, the conference will continue to create a more professional, higher-level and more international platform for exchanges and cooperation, open up new prospects for Qingdao's urban development, further serve the innovative development of China's economy, and promote the openness and prosperity of the global capital market.

In recent years, Qingdao has been ramping up efforts to transform into a venture capital center.

By the end of April, Qingdao had 437 private equity fund managers registered with the Asset Management Association of China and 1,807 funds under record management, and a management scale of 175.87 billion yuan ($26.27 billion).
