Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone unveiled its new layout for further development at a news conference on May 31.

The zone will focus on cultivating high-growth enterprises as well as developing new economy and exploring new sources of growth, according to local officials.

During the conference, the zone launched its work plan for this year to foster more high-growth enterprises and unveiled supporting policies.

An implementation plan for cultivating and developing the new economy was also released at the conference to generate and build up new drivers of growth from new industries and new business formats.

The zone also launched a "Gold Rush" plan at the conference to better serve the transformation and incubation of the latest scientific and technological achievements from well-known domestic universities and research institutes and utilize them to boost local development.

A signing ceremony for the cooperation between local government and enterprise representatives from the fields of new business formats, new models, new sources, new retail, new manufacturing and new technologies was also held during the conference.
