In order to promote the connection between poverty alleviation and rural vitalization efforts, Hechi's Yizhou district has implemented measures like incentivizing leading enterprises to play demonstration roles, improving the industrial scale, and creating agricultural clusters.

Yizhou has provided rewards and subsidy policy support to make leading enterprises play a demonstration role in its rural vitalization efforts. Since the beginning of this year, the district has increased policy support for the development of the pig breeding industry, as well as to expand the cattle and sheep breeding industry. It produced 49,900 pigs, 9,100 cattle, and 81,600 sheep in the first quarter, increasing 37.69 percent, 39.07 percent, as well as 47.25 percent year-on-year respectively.

The district also focuses on developing industrial scale. In 2021, the area of mulberry orchards in Yizhou was 380,000 mu (25,333 hectares), and the output of fresh cocoons was 81,800 metric tons. The planting area of mulberries and the output of fresh cocoons has remained first among all the counties and districts in China for 17 consecutive years. In addition, the planting area of walnuts, camellia oil, and sugar cane was 172,000 mu, 47,300 mu, and 290,000 mu respectively.

The district has also promoted the construction of characteristic agricultural demonstration zones and has created a modern agricultural brands cluster. Through promoting the integrated development of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries, it has improved comprehensive agricultural benefits and helped the implementation of its rural vitalization strategy.
