June 4: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 3, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 46 new cases of confirmed infections (25 imported cases, 7 in Fujian province, 4 in Beijing municipality, 4 in Guangdong province, 4 in Sichuan province, 2 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, including 1 confirmed case converting from an asymptomatic case in Zhejiang province; 21 indigenous cases, 11 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 5 in Beijing municipality and 5 in Shanghai municipality, including 3 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 2 in Shanghai municipality and 1 in Beijing municipality), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.
On June 3, 304 patients were released from hospital after being cured (24 imported cases; 280 indigenous cases, 180 in Shanghai municipality, 51 in Beijing municipality, 19 in Sichuan province, 16 in Jilin province, 8 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Henan province, 1 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Fujian province, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Shaanxi province). 12,033 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 9.
As of 24:00 on June 3, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 18,747 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 18,529 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 218 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and no suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on June 3, the National Health Commission had received reports of 224,254 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 217,414 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,614 confirmed cases (including 73 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 4,118,309 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 142,873 were still under medical observation.

On June 3, 1,425 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (44 imported cases; 1,381 indigenous cases, 1,204 in Shanghai municipality, 95 in Sichuan province, 24 in Henan province, 21 in Jilin province, 9 in Tianjin municipality, 9 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 5 in Zhejiang province, 4 in Liaoning province, 2 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Guangdong province, 1 in Hebei province, 1 in Heilongjiang province, 1 in Anhui province, 1 in Jiangxi province, 1 in Shandong province and 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region). 4 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 1 imported case). As of 24:00 on June 3, 7,318 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 482 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on June 3, 2,607,368 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 332,619 in Hong Kong (9,382 had died and 62,437 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 83 in Macao (82 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 2,274,666 in Taiwan (2,663 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
