Since Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region resumed cross-provincial tourism on May 27, the tourism market in Hechi's Bama Yao autonomous county has gradually heated up. As of June 1, the county has received more than 1,000 tourists from outside the autonomous region.

While doing a good job in implementing strict COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control measures, the major tourist attractions in Bama have also taken into account the cross-provincial group tour business to bolster the recovery and development of its tourism market.

"After the resumption of cross-provincial tourism, we welcomed a tour group of 112 tourists from Guizhou province on May 28," said Li Jiakun, marketing manager of Guangxi Bama Shouxiang Tourism, adding that more than 8,000 people have signed up for Bama group tours, 90 percent of whom are from provinces and cities outside the autonomous region.

Bama is famous for being the "hometown of longevity" around the world. There are currently five 4A-level tourist attractions. With the exception of Dongtianfudi scenic spot, which has not reopened due to work on improving its infrastructure, the other scenic spots have reopened and are operating as normal.
