To date, the seven border ports with cargo handling capacity in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region have been operating normally, including the ports of Youyiguan, Shuikou, Aidian, Dongxing, Dongzhong, Longbang and Pingmeng.
Following the implementation of strict COVID-19 prevention and control measures, Shuikou, Aidian, Dongxing, and Dongzhong ports resumed inspection operations in April. On May 5, Longbang and Pingmeng ports resumed customs clearance and inspection operations. So far, all of the seven border highway ports in Guangxi with cargo handling capacity are operating normally.
From May 5 to 23, the average daily traffic volume at each border highway port in Guangxi was 955 vehicles.
In order to ensure both COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control efforts, as well as port customs clearance, Guangxi has established a special class for unimpeded trade at border ports, implemented closed-loop management of key areas, and established rapid response mechanisms.
