A conference focusing on international youth communication will be held in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, on May 13.
The conference will be held via both online and offline channels. Nearly 1,200 people from home and abroad will attend the conference online, including Chinese officials, foreign dignitaries, foreign envoys, representatives of international sister cities and international organizations, and representatives of young elites.
It will set up a main venue in Jinan, and sub-venues in Beijing and 16 cities in Shandong province. The event will include an opening ceremony, a main forum, an international youth art exhibition, and other related activities.
The main forum, which is named "Yellow River Bay International Youth Economic Forum", will invite representatives of Chinese and foreign economists, youth entrepreneurs and elites to discuss hot topics, such as global economic changes and China's new development pattern in the post-epidemic era, as well as international economic and trade trends, business model changes, technological innovation and industrial transformation and upgrading under the globalization of the digital economy.
Shandong will make use of the conference to promote international youth group exchanges and cooperation, and develop the Yellow River Bay International Youth Economic Forum into a regular economic exchange platform for international youth, according to Cai Xianjin, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shandong Provincial People's Government.
