On May 27, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 96 new cases of confirmed infections (25 imported cases, 12 in Fujian province, 4 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 2 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Liaoning province, 2 in Guangdong province, 2 in Sichuan province and 1 in Jiangsu province, including 2 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Sichuan province; 71 indigenous cases, 39 in Shanghai municipality, 18 in Beijing municipality, 4 in Tianjin municipality, 4 in Henan province, 3 in Jilin province and 3 in Jiangsu province, including 20 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 18 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Jilin province), no deaths, and 3 new cases of suspected infections (all were imported cases in Shanghai municipality).

On May 27, 269 patients were released from hospital after being cured (18 imported cases; 251 indigenous cases, 161 in Shanghai municipality, 43 in Beijing municipality, 12 in Tianjin municipality, 9 in Henan province, 9 in Guangdong province, 5 in Zhejiang province, 4 in Jilin province, 3 in Sichuan province, 2 in Chongqing municipality, 1 in Hebei province, 1 in Yunnan province and 1 in Qinghai province). 16,005 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 7.

As of 24:00 on May 27, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 18,609 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 18,391 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 218 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and 3 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on May 27, the National Health Commission had received reports of 223,933 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 215,608 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 3,099 confirmed cases (including 162 cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases. 4,065,206 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 197,164 were still under medical observation.

On May 27, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 266 new asymptomatic cases (73 imported cases; 193 indigenous cases, 131 in Shanghai municipality, 11 in Liaoning province, 9 in Jilin province, 9 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 7 in Shandong province, 6 in Beijing municipality, 5 in Henan province, 3 in Tianjin municipality, 3 in Hebei province, 3 in Jiangsu province, 3 in Sichuan province, 2 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Yunnan province).

On May 27, 1,987 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (60 imported cases; 1,927 indigenous cases, 1,737 in Shanghai municipality, 52 in Liaoning province, 50 in Sichuan province, 22 in Henan province, 17 in Tianjin municipality, 8 in Beijing municipality, 7 in Zhejiang province, 7 in Anhui province, 7 in Qinghai province, 4 in Jilin province, 3 in Hebei province, 3 in Hubei province, 3 in Guangdong province, 3 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 2 in Jiangxi province, 1 in Shandong province and 1 in Guizhou province). 22 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 2 imported cases). As of 24:00 on May 27, 17,552 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 446 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on May 27, 2,067,371 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 332,221 in Hong Kong (9,375 had died and 62,129 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 83 in Macao (82 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 1,735,067 in Taiwan (1,784 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
