Artists from Zhuhai and Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands, took part in an online concert on May 23 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Netherlands.
Themed Melodies over Seas & Mountains, the Netherlands Wind Ensemble and Sinfonia Rotterdam performed at the Royal Amsterdam Concert Hall, while Zhuhai Golden Jazz Big Band and Zhuhai Semiquaver Chorus performed at the Concert Hall of the Zhuhai Opera House.

Outstanding performers like Ou Kaiming and Qiong Xia, winners of National Class-A Artists and Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Awards, Liu Yutong, the first Chinese male singer to perform on stage at the Berklee College of Music, as well as Lu Yao, pianist and director of the Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians, were also invited to the concert.
Of note, the distinctive cultural arts, as well as the charming, friendly, youthful, and romantic city image of Zhuhai were showcased during the concert. The city is looking forward to carrying out more arts and cultural communication and cooperation with more cities via music in the future.
Chinese Ambassador to the Netherlands Tan Jian and Consul General of the Netherlands in Guangzhou Michiel Bierkens sent congratulation videos to the concert.
The livestream was aired on media platforms like People's Daily, CCTV.com, Nanfang Plus, Chudian News, Macau Cable Television, ZHTV-2, and the Guanhai app.
The concert was hosted by the Zhuhai Municipal People's Government Information Office and Zhuhai Foreign Affairs Office with support from the Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands, Embassy of the Netherlands in China, Consulate General of the Netherlands in Guangzhou, as well as Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province.
