Chongchuan firms rated models of intelligent manufacturing

The Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu recently released the 2022 list of model plants for intelligent manufacturing in East China's Jiangsu province.

The prefecture city of Nantong in Jiangsu had eight enterprises make it onto the list, involving new materials, electronic information, shipbuilding and other sectors.

Tongfu Microelectronics Co and CIMC Safeway Technologies Co Ltd – both located in the Chongchuan district, the main urban area of Nantong – were two of the eight firms.

Tongfu Microelectronics Co was established in 1997 and listed its shares on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2007. After years of development, mergers and acquisitions, it has grown into a multinational semiconductors manufacturer and a domestic leader in integrated circuits packaging and testing.

CIMC Safeway Technologies Co Ltd, formerly Nantong CIMC Tank Equipment Co Ltd, is one of the key enterprises in the energy, chemicals and food equipment sectors in China. Products made by CIMC Safeway have been exported to many countries and regions around the globe.

Moving forward, Chongchuan plans to conduct its three-year plan on promoting the intelligent transformation of the manufacturing sector and also establish a number of model companies for intelligent manufacturing.
