All 40,000 packages of supplies donated by 80 food companies in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region had arrived in Shanghai as of April 25.
According to Guangxi's department of commerce, authorities and enterprises had worked together to make this donation possible.
The packages include Guangxi specialties includingluosifen, salted duck eggs and egg-yolk puff.
Upon arrival in Shanghai, the supplies were temporarily stored in a warehouse on Xietu Road in Xuhui district before delivery to residents due to a thunderstorm.
"After the storm, we have delivered the packages to the residents as soon as possible," said a person in charge. "The latest outbreak has hit the pause button in Shanghai, and we should press the fast-forward button when distributing supplies."
