On April 24, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 2,680 new cases of confirmed infections (14 imported cases, 2 in Fujian province, 2 in Guangdong province, 2 in Sichuan province, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, including 3 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region; 2,666 indigenous cases, 2,472 in Shanghai municipality, 79 in Jilin province, 26 in Heilongjiang province, 14 in Beijing municipality, 14 in Jiangxi province, 13 in Zhejiang province, 12 in Hunan province, 9 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 5 in Henan province, 5 in Qinghai province, 4 in Jiangsu province, 3 in Liaoning province, 3 in Guangdong province, 2 in Shanxi province, 2 in Shandong province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Sichuan province, including 899 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 846 in Shanghai municipality, 39 in Jilin province, 12 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Qinghai province), 51 deaths (all were indigenous cases in Shanghai municipality), and no new cases of suspected infections.

On April 24, 2,982 patients were released from hospital after being cured (22 imported cases; 2,960 indigenous cases, 2,449 in Shanghai municipality, 441 in Jilin province, 15 in Guangdong province, 13 in Jiangsu province, 8 in Zhejiang province, 8 in Hainan province, 4 in Fujian province, 4 in Shandong province, 4 in Shaanxi province, 3 in Qinghai province, 2 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Heilongjiang province, 2 in Sichuan province, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Hebei province, 1 in Jiangxi province and 1 in Henan province). 32,431 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases increased by 38.

As of 24:00 on April 24, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 18,120 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 17,910 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 210 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and 2 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on April 24, the National Health Commission had received reports of 203,334 confirmed cases and 4,776 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 169,380 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 29,178 confirmed cases (including 274 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 3,162,375 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 435,378 were still under medical observation.

On April 24, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 17,581 new asymptomatic cases (53 imported cases; 17,528 indigenous cases, 16,983 in Shanghai municipality, 116 in Jiangxi province, 107 in Jilin province, 92 in Jiangsu province, 74 in Hebei province, 49 in Shandong province, 29 in Anhui province, 19 in Zhejiang province, 18 in Henan province, 14 in Yunnan province, 12 in Heilongjiang province, 5 in Beijing municipality, 5 in Shanxi province, 2 in Hubei province, 2 in Qinghai province and 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region).

On April 24, 20,548 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (94 imported cases; 20,454 indigenous cases, 19,523 in Shanghai municipality, 618 in Jilin province, 68 in Jiangsu province, 42 in Hubei province, 37 in Hebei province, 30 in Anhui province, 23 in Shandong province, 20 in Yunnan province, 17 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 13 in Shanxi province, 13 in Liaoning province, 13 in Henan province, 11 in Fujian province, 5 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 5 in Zhejiang province, 5 in Jiangxi province, 3 in Heilongjiang province, 3 in Guangdong province, 3 in Qinghai province and 2 in Hainan province). 902 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 3 imported cases). As of 24:00 on April 24, 245,343 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 612 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on April 24, 385,697 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 329,147 in Hong Kong (9,249 had died and 69,057 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 82 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 56,468 in Taiwan (856 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
