At Fudan University, a service team comprising 30 international volunteers have also been helping with implementing prevention and control measures.
Lyu Jiaojie, a Fudan student from the United States who is majoring in clinical medicine, has been helping to respond to students' essential needs.
"Despite social distancing, students have gotten even closer in spirit," Lyu said.
Some international students have also praised their universities for the care provided during the lockdown.
"Psychological counseling and medical services are available and accessible to us at any time on campus. I am touched that these services are provided. The university ensures the quality of life of every student despite of the outbreak," said Nemati Sina from Iran, a Ph.D. student in linguistics from SISU.
