On April 19, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 2,761 new cases of confirmed infections (8 imported cases, 3 in Sichuan province, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Shandong province and 1 in Guangdong province, including 1 confirmed case converting from an asymptomatic case in Sichuan province; 2,753 indigenous cases, 2,494 in Shanghai municipality, 133 in Jilin province, 45 in Heilongjiang province, 25 in Jiangxi province, 14 in Guangdong province, 9 in Shanxi province, 8 in Jiangsu province, 8 in Zhejiang province, 5 in Shaanxi province, 3 in Henan province, 3 in Hunan province, 2 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Fujian province, 1 in Hebei province and 1 in Qinghai province, including 616 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 533 in Shanghai municipality, 69 in Jilin province, 4 in Zhejiang province, 3 in Jiangsu province, 3 in Guangdong province, 2 in Fujian province, 1 in Shanxi province and 1 in Shaanxi province), 7 deaths (all were indigenous cases in Shanghai municipality), and 1 new case of suspected infections (an indigenous case in Shanghai municipality).

On April 19, 2,365 patients were released from hospital after being cured (22 imported cases; 2,343 indigenous cases, 1,682 in Shanghai municipality, 594 in Jilin province, 15 in Zhejiang province, 9 in Fujian province, 8 in Shandong province, 6 in Jiangsu province, 6 in Shaanxi province, 5 in Guangdong province, 3 in Shanxi province, 2 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Hebei province, 2 in Jiangxi province, 2 in Hainan province, 2 in Yunnan province, 2 in Qinghai province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Hubei province and 1 in Sichuan province). 34,397 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases increased by 41.

As of 24:00 on April 19, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 18,050 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 17,814 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 236 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and 5 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on April 19, the National Health Commission had received reports of 191,112 confirmed cases and 4,655 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 155,684 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 30,773 confirmed cases (including 116 cases in serious condition) and 6 suspected cases. 2,937,350 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 412,624 were still under medical observation.

On April 19, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 17,166 new asymptomatic cases (100 imported cases; 17,066 indigenous cases, 16,407 in Shanghai municipality, 262 in Jilin province, 95 in Jiangsu province, 61 in Hebei province, 48 in Anhui province, 47 in Zhejiang province, 28 in Heilongjiang province, 28 in Jiangxi province, 25 in Shandong province, 21 in Shanxi province, 13 in Henan province, 9 in Liaoning province, 6 in Guangdong province, 6 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 5 in Yunnan province, 4 in Hubei province and 1 in Qinghai province).

On April 19, 26,760 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (103 imported cases; 26,657 indigenous cases, 25,411 in Shanghai municipality, 835 in Jilin province, 89 in Shandong province, 58 in Jiangsu province, 51 in Hebei province, 50 in Anhui province, 34 in Fujian province, 23 in Liaoning province, 23 in Jiangxi province, 17 in Henan province, 14 in Guangdong province, 12 in Heilongjiang province, 10 in Hubei province, 8 in Yunnan province, 7 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 4 in Shanxi province, 4 in Qinghai province, 3 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Hainan province and 1 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region). 617 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 1 imported case). As of 24:00 on April 19, 266,288 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 750 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on April 19, 347,727 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 309,935 in Hong Kong (9,176 had died and 67,882 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 82 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 37,710 in Taiwan (856 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
