The China (Guangxi)-Austria (Carinthia) Online Conference Economic and Trade Cooperation in Key Industries commenced online on April 15, aiming to elevate mutual friendship to a higher level.
It was put forward during the event that exchanges and cooperation in major industries will be enhanced in sectors spanning high-end metallic new materials, machinery and equipment manufacturing, automobiles, green environmental protection, modern trade and logistics, health and sports.
People in charge of four Austrian institutes and enterprises presented a number of key collaboration projects, including international logistics, cross-border e-commerce, big health and sports, as well as Guangxi industrial parks in Nanning, Liuzhou, and Yulin.
The governor of Carinthia, Peter Kaiser, praised the event, saying it will effectively improve communication between enterprises in two areas.
Carinthia will cooperate more with Guangxi in areas such as tourism, digital economy, and artificial intelligence to boost economic revival, according to Kaiser. The Belt and Road Initiative has provided opportunities for Carinthia to deepen economic ties with China, and Carinthia will cooperate more with Guangxi in areas such as tourism, digital economy, and artificial intelligence to boost economic revival.
In 1987, Carinthia became Guangxi's first friendship state in Europe, and in June 2019, a memorandum of cooperation on deepening friendship and cooperation was signed.
