The local human resources and social security bureau in Rudong county – administered by Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – recently launched a special campaign to efficiently and precisely serve enterprises in nine key industry supply chains in the area.
One of those involved is Wang Yufeng, a member of staff of the Rudong HR bureau. He has been designated to get in contact with resident companies in the semiconductors industry, to help them resolve labor shortage problems.
Jiangsu Advanced Materials Technology & Engineering Inc is a leading domestic service provider in the local semiconductor equipment sector. Specializing in the production of etching and film equipment, it is a high-tech enterprise integrating research, development, design and manufacturing. At present, R&D and design personnel account for some half of its workforce.
On learning the company had a shortfall of 100 employees – some 70 percent R&D personnel, that are difficult to find in Rudong – Wang Yufeng took immediate action, taking a note of the request and promising to get in urgent touch with educational institutions.
"We will get in contact with colleges and universities and if there are suitable personnel, we will help get them for you," he told the company.
Focusing on the nine key industrial supply chains in Rudong, the action being undertaken by county's HR department aims to solve the current difficulties in labor employment and facilitate the sustainable development of these firms.
