On April 15, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 3,896 new cases of confirmed infections (29 imported cases, 15 in Fujian province, 4 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Guangdong province, 2 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Jiangxi province, 1 in Sichuan province and 1 in Yunnan province, including 3 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Jiangxi province and 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region; 3,867 indigenous cases, 3,590 in Shanghai municipality, 195 in Jilin province, 25 in Heilongjiang province, 24 in Guangdong province, 9 in Zhejiang province, 6 in Fujian province, 5 in Shanxi province, 4 in Jiangsu province, 2 in Hainan province, 2 in Qinghai province, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Liaoning province, 1 in Shandong province, 1 in Hunan province and 1 in Shaanxi province, including 985 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 922 in Shanghai municipality, 57 in Jilin province, 3 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Fujian province, 1 in Hainan province and 1 in Qinghai province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths.

On April 15, 2,818 patients were released from hospital after being cured (53 imported cases; 2,765 indigenous cases, 1,671 in Jilin province, 969 in Shanghai municipality, 22 in Heilongjiang province, 21 in Fujian province, 19 in Shandong province, 10 in Liaoning province, 10 in Zhejiang province, 6 in Tianjin municipality, 6 in Hebei province, 6 in Guangdong province, 5 in Beijing municipality, 4 in Shanxi province, 3 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 2 in Jiangsu province, 2 in Jiangxi province, 2 in Henan province, 2 in Hunan province, 2 in Sichuan province, 1 in Anhui province, 1 in Hainan province and 1 in Qinghai province). 34,002 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 2.

As of 24:00 on April 15, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 17,979 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 17,720 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 259 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and 12 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on April 15, the National Health Commission had received reports of 178,764 confirmed cases and 4,638 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 148,170 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 25,956 confirmed cases (including 74 cases in serious condition) and 12 suspected cases. 2,825,543 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 438,427 were still under medical observation.

On April 15, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 20,895 new asymptomatic cases (82 imported cases; 20,813 indigenous cases, 19,923 in Shanghai municipality, 437 in Jilin province, 64 in Fujian province, 56 in Yunnan province, 55 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 52 in Jiangsu province, 44 in Anhui province, 41 in Hubei province, 27 in Liaoning province, 24 in Henan province, 19 in Shanxi province, 17 in Hebei province, 13 in Guangdong province, 9 in Heilongjiang province, 8 in Jiangxi province, 6 in Zhejiang province, 5 in Shandong province, 3 in Qinghai province, 3 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 3 in Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Hainan province, 1 in Shaanxi province and 1 in Gansu province).

On April 15, 21,863 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (97 imported cases; 21,766 indigenous cases, 19,800 in Shanghai municipality, 1,528 in Jilin province, 73 in Fujian province, 54 in Jiangsu province, 47 in Hebei province, 46 in Liaoning province, 46 in Shandong province, 38 in Anhui province, 28 in Heilongjiang province, 27 in Jiangxi province, 17 in Henan province, 11 in Tianjin municipality, 10 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 10 in Yunnan province, 10 in Gansu province, 8 in Hubei province, 7 in Guangdong province, 3 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 2 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region). 988 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 3 imported cases). As of 24:00 on April 15, 274,676 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 771 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on April 15, 341,058 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 309,119 in Hong Kong (9,069 had died and 65,422 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 82 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 31,857 in Taiwan (854 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
