More than 1,550 companies were newly registered in the Beijing CBD functional area in the first two months of this year, most of which were large innovative technology and new energy companies.
The construction of "two zones" in the CBD - a comprehensive demonstration zone and a pilot free trade zone - has also enabled more high-quality tenant enterprises to grow rapidly.
In 2021, Astellas Pharma Inc, a multinational pharmaceutical company that has operations in more than 70 countries and regions globally, settled its Greater China regional headquarters in the CBD, and over the past year, achieved a year-on-year increase of 14.8 percent in revenue.
This year, the three outlets of China CITIC Bank Beijing Branch in the CBD were reshaped to provide innovative and customized financial services to tenant companies, in line with the characteristics and policies of the Beijing FTZ.
The outlets will help promote the opening up of financial markets, cross-border capital flow, as well as investment and financing.
The Beijing CBD will enhance the introduction of and support for key enterprises in the fields of headquarters setup, functional institutions, culture, commerce and digital economy, and establish the city's first comprehensive investment promotion service center integrating government and investment promotion services.
