WND free trade zone eyes integration of 5G, industrial internet

The Wuxi New District Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Wuxi National Hi-tech District (also known as Wuxi New District) in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, has recently been appointed by the provincial government to pilot the integration of 5G and industrial internet.

The WND free trade zone has been promoting the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry and technologies via 5G and industrial internet in recent years.

Thanks to 5G technologies, Jabil Circuit (Wuxi) Co Ltd, located in the WND free trade zone, has managed to raise its production efficiency by 30 percent.

The free trade zone has so far established 38 5G stations, giving the entire zone access to 5G signals.

The WND free trade zone plans to establish more 5G stations and other infrastructure, create more 5G and industrial internet integration models that can be replicated by other companies, and establish an autonomic and controllable intelligent manufacturing industrial system in an effort to become a model for intelligent manufacturing in the Yangtze River Delta region and a new hub for the application of 5G and industrial internet integration.
