Located in the Jinpu New Area, phase one of the Dalian Modern Agricultural Industry Center will start construction before April.

The project includes an agricultural products wholesale market, a refrigerated warehouse, a food processing center, a distribution center, and a seed industry trading center.

With an investment of 2 billion yuan ($31.4 million) covering 500,000 square kilometers, the market will be equipped with a smart trading platform and a products tracing system. Its annual transaction volume is expected to reach $4.7 billion after its completion. 

After completion, this project will consolidate Dalian's status as a logistics center and shipping center in Northeast Asia.
