Yantai, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province has drawn up a blueprint for its social and economic development for the upcoming five years, pledging to further promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and build a modern industrial system.
The city will give priority to the development of the real economy, and shift its focus to the collaborated development of its industrial, supply and value chains. Efforts will also be made to build a modern industrial system centering on advanced manufacturing, modern services, and the marine industry.
The city will also put more effort into improving its urban functions, resulting in a high-quality-of-life setting in which people may comfortably live, work, and travel. A comprehensive and three-dimensional transportation system will be built in the coming five years.
Yantai will facilitate the integrated urban-rural development through overall planning and coordination, promote faster development of rural industries, and strengthen county economies. Special emphasis will be placed on completely advancing rural vitalization.
Local authorities called for continuous efforts to foster high-quality and innovation-driven development, and further deepen reform and opening-up in the city.
In the next five years, Yantai will embrace the people-centered development philosophy, and take solid steps to promote common prosperity for all. Priority will be given to the development of education and healthcare during the next five years.
More efforts will be made to improve the ecological environment, and continue to promote the protection and restoration of the city's ecological environment during the next five years.
