Yantai's CPPCC municipal committee opens annual session

On Feb 22, the first session of the 14th Yantai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened in Yantai, a coastal city in Shandong province, and political advisers gathered together to discuss the city's crucial economic and political issues as well as issues related to people's interests and social development.

Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, everyone who attended the session was obliged to register for the closed-loop management system, which means they will only be able to travel between sessions via dedicated transportation.

Zhao Xuejun, a member of the CPPCC Yantai Municipal Committee, was the first to object, stating that he would make some ideas regarding safety production.

Members of the CPPCC Yantai Municipal Committee have gone through extensive preparations and will present a wide range of proposals relating to people's livelihoods, social and economic development, and environmental governance, all of which are expected to lay a solid foundation for Yantai's future development.
