Rui’an, Zhejiang province
Best viewing period: From late March to mid-April
The oilseed rape field of Tongpu town in Wenzhou, East China’s Zhejiang province is the city’s largest expanse of rapeseed flowers. The flower sea exudes pleasant scents. Amid the landscapes of surrounding crops, mountains and rivers, it comes across like a traditional Chinese painting.
You can also visit the nearby Tongxi Scenic Area, which boasts a charming lakeside scenery and is dubbed “the lesser West Lake”. It covers the Huxidao, Longtan, and Yan’an scenic spots. In the lake, there is a bird island inhabited by egrets, with freshwater jellyfish appearing in the clear water. Such beauty.
