Zhuanghang town in Shanghai’s Fengxian district is home to a vast expanse of golden rapeseed plants. They bloom from late March to mid-April, and resemble a giant yellow carpet. When the spring breeze blows, you can smell their sweet fragrance.
The Fengxian rapeseed flower festival is held annually during the blooming season. Tourists can take part in dozens of programs and activities, including playing the flower labyrinth, admiring the local folk art exhibits and the clothing creative show, watching folk art performances, flying kites, and picking vegetables and fruits.
