A list of must-try spring food in Suzhou

Spring has arrived in Suzhou in East China's Jiangsu province. Here is a list of seasonal food that is sure to whet your appetite.

Pastries

Suzhou residents are particularly fond of sweet food, and eacg season has its own special pastries.

Vegetables

Green and fresh vegetables are a spring stable in Suzhou.

Meat

There are "Four Meats" in Suzhou – one for each season. In spring, braised pork in sauce is eaten. It will be available until May.

Tea

Drinking a cup of Biluochun tea picked before the Qingming Festival makes people feel like they are in Jiangnan, or south of the Yangtze River. Newly picked Biluochun tea came to market in large quantities on March 16.
