On March 24, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 1,366 new cases of confirmed infections (65 imported cases, 23 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 12 in Shanghai municipality, 11 in Guangdong province, 6 in Sichuan province, 5 in Beijing municipality, 3 in Shanxi province, 2 in Jilin province, 1 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Fujian province, including 11 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 5 in Sichuan province, 3 in Guangdong province, 2 in Jilin province and 1 in Zhejiang province; 1,301 indigenous cases, 1,110 in Jilin province including 576 in Changchun, 528 in Jilin city and 6 in Siping, 27 in Shanghai municipality including 10 in Pudong New Area, 8 in Jing’an district, 3 in Baoshan district, 2 in Xuhui district, 2 in Putuo district, 1 in Yangpu district and 1 in Jiading district, 25 in Tianjin municipality including 13 in Xiqing district, 6 in Hebei district, 2 in Hedong district, 1 in Hongqiao district, 1 in Dongli district, 1 in Beichen district and 1 in Binhai New Area, 24 in Hebei province including 23 in Langfang and 1 in Dingzhou, 23 in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, 23 in Jiangxi province including 20 in Nanchang and 3 in Jiujiang, 17 in Quanzhou, Fujian province, 13 in Shandong province including 8 in Binzhou, 2 in Jinan, 2 in Weihai and 1 in Qingdao, 10 in Henan province including 4 in Zhoukou, 3 in Luohe, 2 in Jiaozuo and 1 in Kaifeng, 9 in Liaoning province including 3 in Shenyang, 2 in Dalian, 2 in Yingkou, 1 in Liaoyang and 1 in Huludao, 4 in Guangdong province including 2 in Shenzhen, 1 in Dongguan and 1 in Zhongshan, 4 in Lanzhou, Gansu province, 3 in Zhejiang province including 1 in Hangzhou, 1 in Jiaxing and 1 in Quzhou, 3 in Yunnan province including 2 in Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture and 1 in Lincang, 3 in Baoji, Shaanxi province, 1 in Wuhu, Anhui province, 1 in Changsha, Hunan province and 1 in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, Guizhou province, including 121 confirmed cases [increased by 1 in Jilin province after verification] converting from asymptomatic cases, 91 in Jilin province [increased by 1 after verification], 15 in Jiangxi province, 3 in Tianjin municipality, 3 in Liaoning province, 3 in Zhejiang province, 3 in Shandong province, 1 in Fujian province, 1 in Henan province and 1 in Guangdong province), 5 new cases of suspected infections (all in Shanghai municipality, including 2 imported cases and 3 indigenous cases), and no deaths. 725 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 21,923 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained the same.

As of 24:00 on March 24, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 17,161 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 15,977 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,182 confirmed cases (including 1 case in serious condition) and 13 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on March 24, the National Health Commission had received reports of 140,651 confirmed cases and 4,638 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 109,119 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 26,892 confirmed cases (including 50 cases in serious condition) and 16 suspected cases. 2,152,648 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 371,757 were still under medical observation.

As of 24:00 on March 24, 27,046 asymptomatic cases (increased by 1 in Jilin province after verification) were still under medical observation (including 1,455 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on March 24, 304,418 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 282,009 in Hong Kong (6,770 had died and 38,964 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 82 in Macao (80 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 22,327 in Taiwan (853 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
