A gate machine independently-developed by AFC Technology in Suzhou New District that can automatically identify people and determine whether they are in close contact with confirmed COVID-19 cases was recently tested in Shenzhen, South China.
According to Wu Xianguang, general-manager of AFC Technology, the gate machine can identify a person within 0.3 seconds and check their health QR code and nucleic acid test results within five seconds to determine whether they are close contacts to confirmed COVID-19 cases or not.
The machine is expected to relieve shortages in manpower and ensure that all suspected and confirmed patients are discovered as soon as possible and admitted to the hospital in time.
The machine has been tested at the Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation and will undergo more tests at the Shenzhen Public Service Data Administration and China Electronics Corporation in the near future.
AFC Technology, which was established at the Suzhou Science and Technology Town in SND in 2012, focuses on the R&D, production and sale of automatic fair collection gate machines in the rail transit field.
The company has become a global leader with its products applied not only in over 10 domestic cities including Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, but also in more than 30 foreign cities such as Chennai, India and Lahore, Pakistan.
