The number of serious cases increased by 4.

As of 24:00 on March 20, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 16,920 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 15,149 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,771 confirmed cases (including 1 case in serious condition) and 14 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on March 20, the National Health Commission had received reports of 132,226 confirmed cases and 4,638 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 106,200 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 21,388 confirmed cases (including 39 cases in serious condition) and 14 suspected cases. 2,053,069 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 336,223 were still under medical observation.

As of 24:00 on March 20, 18,327 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 1,658 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on March 20, 299,045 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 277,058 in Hong Kong (5,896 had died and 34,493 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 82 in Macao (79 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 21,905 in Taiwan (853 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
