The number of serious cases increased by 13.

As of 24:00 on March 18, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 16,759 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 14,703 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 2,056 confirmed cases (including 1 case in serious condition) and 7 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on March 18, the National Health Commission had received reports of 128,462 confirmed cases and 4,638 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 105,238 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 18,586 confirmed cases (including 31 cases in serious condition) and 7 suspected cases. 1,989,863 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 296,513 were still under medical observation.

As of 24:00 on March 18, 14,318 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 1,721 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on March 18, 295,835 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 274,095 in Hong Kong (5,401 had died and 32,467 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 82 in Macao (79 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 21,658 in Taiwan (853 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
