BEIJING -- China's smartphone market saw steady growth in January with the sales increasing by 0.4 percent year-on-year to reach 30.87 million units, according to an industry report.
On a month-on-month basis, smartphone sales volume rose by 38.6 percent from December 2021, according to a report by the research and consulting company CINNO Research.
Domestic smartphone maker Oppo took the top spot with its sales up 42.6 percent from a month ago, while Vivo followed with an increase of 55.8 percent, the report said.
Honor maintained growth momentum last month as its sales went up 242.9 percent from a year earlier, the largest year-on-year growth among the top five brands.
Apple took the fourth place with the sales climbing by 11.4 percent year-on-year, followed by Chinese brand Xiaomi, the report said.
