Qinzhou thrives as New Intl Land-Sea Trade Corridor hub

As the core hub of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, Qinzhou has thrived due to its prominent advantages.

In recent years, Qinzhou has made full use of multiple superimposed national platform policy resources to develop and open up cooperation in the fields of domestic and foreign trade, investment, port and shipping logistics, finance, as well as humanities, striving to create a new hub for international production capacity cooperation.

In 2021, the international rail-sea combined transport train of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor connected 91 stations in 47 cities in 13 provinces in China, as well as reaching 311 ports in 106 countries and regions on six continents.

In 2021, the cargo throughput of Qinzhou Port was 167 million metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 22.3 percent, while its container throughput was 4.63 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), a year-on-year increase of 17.1 percent.

Last year, the Qinzhou Port area of the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone implemented various measures to optimize its business environment, as well as completed 162 administrative licensing items in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and 140 administrative licensing items in Qinzhou.

In the future, Qinzhou will make use of the opportunities of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) to promote cooperation with ASEAN in trade and investment, port and shipping logistics, as well as industrial chains, making every effort to build a China-ASEAN cooperation demonstration area.
