The Ningxia Hui autonomous region will accelerate its development and application of digital technology this year to make great contributions to China's construction of a national integrated big data center, according to the region's Department of Industry and Information Technology.
More than three large-scale data centers will be established in Zhongwei, which was chosen as one of the country's computing power hubs for the national big data center.
Thanks to Ningxia's abundant renewable energy and natural conditions, the data centers will also have great potential for green development.
The region aims to install 2 million servers to promote the development of the digital economy.
This year, Ningxia will also strive to establish a national demonstration zone for industrial internet with the construction of 50 enterprise-level and 10 industry-level industrial internet platforms, as well as cloud platforms for 1,000 industrial enterprises, and over 10 digital workshops and smart factories.
The region will advance the application of 5G technology and scenarios in key industries by setting up five fully 5G-connected factories and a number of service-oriented manufacturing demonstration enterprises, projects and platforms.
