On March 1, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 224 new cases of confirmed infections (153 imported cases, 83 in Guangdong province, 37 in Shanghai municipality, 10 in Hubei province, 5 in Beijing municipality, 3 in Tianjin municipality, 3 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 3 in Sichuan province, 2 in Shandong province, 2 in Chongqing municipality, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Fujian province, 1 in Henan province and 1 in Hunan province, including 10 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 8 in Guangdong, 1 in Hunan and 1 in Yunnan; 71 indigenous cases, 32 in Guangdong including 25 in Shenzhen, 6 in Dongguan and 1 in Zhuhai, 16 in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 4 in Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture, Jilin province, 4 in Heilongjiang province including 2 in Harbin and 2 in Mudanjiang, 4 in Qingdao, Shandong, 3 in Chengdu, Sichuan, 2 in Huludao, Liaoning province, 2 in Fangchenggang, Guangxi, 1 in Binhai New Area, Tianjin, 1 in Jinzhong, Shanxi province, 1 in Putuo district, Shanghai and 1 in Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, Yunnan, including 2 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases in Sichuan), 4 new cases of suspected infections (all were imported cases in Shanghai), and no deaths. 98 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 4,700 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases remained the same.
As of 24:00 on March 1, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 14,617 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 12,894 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,723 confirmed cases (including 1 case in serious condition) and 9 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on March 1, the National Health Commission had received reports of 109,750 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 102,115 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 2,999 confirmed cases (including 19 cases in serious condition) and 9 suspected cases. 1,652,133 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 84,590 were still under medical observation.
On March 1, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 169 new asymptomatic cases (121 imported cases; 48 indigenous cases, 13 in Dongguan, Guangdong, 12 in Heilongjiang including 6 in Harbin, 4 in Mudanjiang and 2 in Heihe, 9 in Yunnan including 4 in Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, 3 in Lincang and 2 in Honghe Hani and Yi autonomous prefecture, 8 in Fangchenggang, Guangxi, 4 in Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture, Jilin, 1 in Jiading district, Shanghai and 1 in Mianyang, Sichuan). 45 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 40 imported cases) and 12 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 10 imported cases). As of 24:00 on March 1, 1,209 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 896 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on March 1, 118,749 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 98,135 in Hong Kong (990 had died and 19,495 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 81 in Macao (79 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 20,533 in Taiwan (853 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
