On Feb 22, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 205 new cases of confirmed infections (115 imported cases, 49 in Shanghai municipality, 38 in Guangdong province, 8 in Beijing municipality, 4 in Sichuan province, 3 in Tianjin municipality, 3 in Yunnan province, 2 in Fujian province, 2 in Shandong province, 2 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 2 in Gansu province, 1 in Jiangsu province and 1 in Zhejiang province, including 13 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 9 in Guangdong, 3 in Sichuan and 1 in Zhejiang; 90 indigenous cases, 47 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region including 39 in Hohhot, 7 in Baotou and 1 in Bayannuur, 10 in Beijing including 2 in Fengtai district, 2 in Tongzhou district, 2 in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, 1 in Xicheng district, 1 in Chaoyang district, 1 in Haidian district and 1 in Shunyi district, 9 in Huludao, Liaoning province, 7 in Shenzhen, Guangdong, 6 in Chengdu, Sichuan, 5 in Wuhan, Hubei province, 2 in Suzhou, Jiangsu, 2 in Honghe Hani and Yi autonomous prefecture, Yunnan, 1 in Jixi, Heilongjiang province and 1 in Qingdao, Shandong, including 1 confirmed case converting from an asymptomatic case in Inner Mongolia), 2 new cases of suspected infections (both were imported cases in Shanghai), and no deaths. 54 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 1,341 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. As of 24:00 on Feb 22, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 13,666 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 12,646 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,020 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Feb 22, the National Health Commission had received reports of 108,194 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 101,598 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,960 confirmed cases (including 14 cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases. 1,592,507 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 43,687 were still under medical observation.

On Feb 22, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 67 new asymptomatic cases (51 imported cases; 16 indigenous cases, 5 in Wuhan, Hubei, 5 in Sichuan including 4 in Chengdu and 1 in Luzhou, 3 in Jiangsu including 2 in Wuxi and 1 in Suzhou, 2 in Guangdong including 1 in Guangzhou and 1 in Shenzhen, and 1 in Honghe Hani and Yi autonomous prefecture, Yunnan). 31 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 14 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (13 were imported cases). As of 24:00 on Feb 22, 703 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 575 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Feb 22, 48,880 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 28,700 in Hong Kong (336 had died and 16,740 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 80 in Macao (79 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 20,100 in Taiwan (852 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
