WND expects more innovation resources

Wuxi National Hi-tech District will continue to focus on technological innovation in 2022, aiming to develop into a high-tech park with global influence, according to Wu Jianhua, director of the WND science and technology bureau.

According to Wu, in 2022 WND will promote the deep integration of the enterprise innovation point system with science and technology policies, form a scientific and technological innovation policy system, pursue green development and strive for more national financial support.

Meanwhile, opinions on the high-quality development of entrepreneurial carriers will be launched in 2022 to optimize the management model of science and technology parks, improve the whole-chain incubation system, empower leading science and technology parks in the construction of innovative complexes, and support the construction of innovation centers from other places.

In 2022, WND is expected to start construction on 1 million square meters of scientific and technological innovation carriers, complete construction on 1 million square meters of such carriers, and build at least three national incubators.

More world-leading innovation resources and key enterprises will also be introduced to WND. In 2021, 2,450 technology companies were established in WND, and the number of national high-tech enterprises exceeded 1,000 for the first time.
