Linjiang New District pursues innovative development

Linjiang New District in Haimen district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province has been ramping up efforts to promote innovative development in the district by building innovation and entrepreneurship platforms and introducing new talent.

Linjiang New District has built more than 700,000 square meters of innovation and entrepreneurship zones, such as Bio-medicine Innovation Park, International Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Science Park and Linglongwan Science, Education and Cultural Innovation Park, and funds have been set up for scientific innovation projects.

Jiangsu Giantest Co Ltd in International SME Science Park provides wafer testing services for major IC design and manufacturing companies. The park is the lead investor in its angel round and VC round investment. The company received 30 million yuan ($4.71 million) from VC round financing and obtained 40 million yuan from A round financing.

The company owns 75 sets of imported test equipment valued at 112.5 million yuan, generating sales of 31 million yuan in 2021.

In addition, the district has successfully introduced four projects in cooperation with academicians and 27 national top talent in recent years. Now, there are nearly 50 scientists, more than 200 doctors and more than 5,000 innovative and entrepreneurial talent living and working in the district.
